Thursday's News, Notes & Links--We're sorry to hear about the death of California wrestling fixture Woody Farmer from cancer. Farmer was a strongman who was working as a piano mover and got into wrestling in the 60s. He had the unique distinction of doing a couple of three-generation matches in recent years where he teamed with both his son (Shane Kody aka Shane Farmer) and grandson.
--For UFC coverage, the weigh-ins for tomorrow's show from Sydney, Australia, will be at 10 p.m. Eastern live on Fuel (or right in the middle of Impact). On Friday, the prelims run from 6-9 p.m. on Fuel followed by two hours on FX with the main event with the post-game show on Fuel starting immediately after the FX show ends.
It looks like no Ariel Helwani, as Jay Glazer and Stephan Bonnar are doing the weigh-in show with Molly Qerim handling interviews. For the post-fight show and analysis between fights on the live shows, they will be going to Glazer, Bonner and Chael Sonnen. The three, along with Qerim doing interviews, will be on the post-fight show.
--A preview of the new season of Ultimate Fighter airs tonight at 11:30 p.m. Eastern on Fuel.
--The Money in the Bank match is officially off WrestleMania this year and back as the main of the 7/15 PPV. That show also has been moved from Las Vegas to Phoenix.
--With the NBA All-Star Saturday night doing 6.24 million viewers, TNT rose to No. 1 in the cable ratings last week with a 2.5 prime time average to 2.4 for USA. Syfy was No. 11 at 1.0, FX was No. 12 at 1.0 and Spike was No. 25 at 0.7. The two hours of Raw were No. 11 and No. 13 last week. The first hour of Raw was No. 9 in the 18-49 demo.

--Regarding East Carondelet mayor and wrestling promoter Herb Simmons, whose home burned down in a fire yesterday, nobody was hurt, but virtually everything was lost, including his furniture, computers, clothes and his entire pro wrestling collection that dates back decades.
--The city of Albuquerque, NM, named Wednesday Carlos Condit Day in honor of him beating Nick Diaz and winning the interim UFC welterweight title. Mayor Richard Berry held a ceremony in front of Greg Jackson's Martial Arts and Fitness gym and he also was also honored yesterday at halftime of the University of New Mexico basketball game.
--Dana White interview in Australia, mostly rolling his eyes at people who think selling 12,000 tickets for $2.4 million a week in advance of a show headlined by Martin Kampmann vs. Thiago Alves constitutes a failed promotion. --A funny story that Seatwave was advertising tickets for the November WWE tour of Europe with shows listed for Cardiff, Birmingham, Nottingham, Manchester and London. Well, nothing unusual about that. However, the names listed as appearing in the advertising on tour are The Undertaker, Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, Sheamus, John Cena, Chris Jericho, Edge and Randy Orton.
